you are absolutely 100% right, using the same logic, if you owned 100 shares and 100 put options, does that mean you own 0% of the company? of course not.
Call options are financial contracts that only give the buyer the right—but not the obligation—to buy, you do not own any physical shares, that for you are not a shareholder yet till the day you exercise your right to buy.
