Every executive should have to do a fortnight of vintage at least once during their tenure. I mean work 16 hours a day digging out 20 tonne fermenters, dragging hoses, wrangling barrels, deal with highly corrosive sanitisation processes.......I can go on, and on, and on.....
London to a brick I would lay that the real winemakers aren't permitted to use the volume of yeast they would like to, or use the ideal inputs, but no shortage of coffees at Collins St.
Collins St is a prime example of waste, and yet racking up asset sales, and they have got form on this (not present managent but TWE)
Collins St does not help the balance sheet, its a folly expense, yet winery equipment.....well we don't need that now do we.

Destroyed some brilliant brands over the years, not present management of course. Lindemans Bin 65 Chardonnay was massive at KARADOC. Gone.
Where is Rosemount? Oh I know taken to the cleaners, previous owners are enjoying the tropical life on a 7 star island in paradise.......So much shareholder value over the years evaporated, billions in fact.
Its all a cycle. Again and again same story. Restructure. Just to make SH feel ok in the in the sense that something is happening.
