Not sure about the smokescreen conspiracy theory.

Massive delays are rampant throughout the entire mining construction industry. So STX is not alone in that respect. Their line of communication can be much improved as previously flagged. Having had their collective butts handed back to them after the WE reserve saga, their comms had been much better. But expectations around Walyering have not been managed well at all. Ie. Even taken into account SN being an eternal optimist (and you need to be in order to survive and thrive in the O&G game), you just don't go repeatedly brag the same storyline and then backflip at the last second.

Anyway, I'd already factored in some delays (think 6 to 12 months for all their projects) relative to their communicated target timelines in my NPV which was shared a few months back. So the delay itself is just a mole hill in my own little world
