I think there is a clear benefit for the consumer of both VHA and TPG infrastructure complimenting each other, the result would have been a 3rd carrier with the quality of service offered by Optus and Telstra. Like I said, the compromise could be the infrastructure side being, in effect, a 3rd fully integrated player, but two customer facing entities.
