"Telstra shored up its overwhelming dominance of the mobile market in the first half of financial year 2019, adding 239,000 customers and increasing it share of the postpaid mobile market to almost 50 per cent, JPMorgan research shows.

The result was more than double analyst expectations, and follows the success of its new low-cost mobile brand, Belong, which accounted for half of the new accounts. It allowed Telstra to boost its postpaid market share by 0.2 of a percentage point to 47.4 per cent, bucking a recent downward trend."

Forget TPG, Telstra's has more mobile market share Optus & Vodafone put together!

"Telstra now has a 46.5 per cent share of the total mobile subscriber market. Optus has 24.8 per cent and Vodafone has 17.4 per cent."

I get the point re the slap in the face, "we aren't going to build a mobile network anymore" nah nah na..

The day TPG announced the deal to backhaul Vodafone's towers was the key moment. The posturing around buying spectrum & building a mobile network, was simply Teoh moving the chess pieces to corner Vodafone.

Sims, they were never going to build a Mobile network, Teoh is in the business of making money.
