I found the article (worth a read) back in July
"While NBN Co has had 75 MHz reserved for its purposes – it has an option over the spectrum with a nominal $43 million exercise price – it’s got spectrum in metro areas that are outside of the NBN’s fixed wireless footprint.
Quizzed on whether that metro spectrum would be under-utilised at a Senate Estimates committee hearing in May, NBN CO’s Bill Morrow gave a candid answer that Telstra, Vodafone and TPG would all have noted.
‘’We have no intention of using the spectrum where we don’t already have a fixed wireless footprint design,’’ Morrow said.
‘’Take the city centre of Melbourne as an example. I don’t know of any cell towers that we have or fixed-wireless type of technology delivered to the homes in the CBD of Melbourne, yet we still have access to that spectrum there."
