In a Tim Boreham written article, featured in Small Caps on 25 September, the low-dosage limit that the TGA will require for OTC CBD products, likely available from July next year, is considered  a major drawback. Those in the industry believe that the 60mg limit dose will be ineffectual for certain conditions.

The MD of Little Green Pharma, Fleta Solomon, said that expectant customers may well be disappointed by lack of therapeutic effect.

For example, you would not want to put a child suffering seizures onto this; you would need 300-500 milligrams and sometimes up to 1,000mg of CBD a day.

But there could be conditions such as anxiety and insomnia, where a small amount might assist. But if they consume (a CBD product) and it doesn’t have a therapeutic effect, there could be some backlash towards CBD and medical cannabis.
