I think that's up to the CEO to decide. He has the option of choosing someone else to do the PR work but he must be quite hands-on and enjoy talking and answering queries of shareholders. Whether they come from HC or elsewhere shouldn't matter. I like a CEO who treats all investors with respect no matter how big or small.

Is it wasting his time from doing other things? Maybe maybe not, how much time does he actually spend answering investor queries. Someone mentioned he doesn't sleep much (4-5 hrs?). I have met people who physically cannot sleep longer than that a night. Maybe Nick is one of those and maybe he likes to use that spare time to talk to investors. I really do hate it when people paint everyone with the same brush and colour. Some of the most successful businessmen in the world have been a bit left of center. Although I have rarely contacted Nick myself, I find his attitude very refreshing. Wish there were more like him.
