"If you are a top 20/40 holder why on earth are you wasting your time on here when you have $$ to go enjoy the perks of life!?"
Miss, Miss -- can I answer that one please?
It is a personal answer - but, some others might feel the same.
AJX is my toy - it is not my living. The living bits are pretty boring - sometimes the odd spark - but, who wants to live thinking and writing about real estate, the telstra types of the world, bank deposits, funds - or all that boring crud. If I wanted to talk about that stuff - I just get my accountant to take me to lunch. Also, I have many mates who get the hots for turning an old building into half a dozen apartments at a couple of mil a pop -------- sorry, leaves me cold.
I have been looking for an AJX all my life. My early years and still to this day - I hear stories about Poseidon which I see grandfathers now sitting with their grandkids boring them stupid with the story of how they were in it ------------ unlike the grandkids - I love it - Every story is worth at least one chapter in a book I reckon.
For me personally - I have been close to a handful of champions in life - and, just to be in their presence is amazing. But, I could never be involved.
This is different - for me, to have built a system that seemed to work right from the start - but, to come up with winners who looked good - but, returned pretty much never less than 80% (guaranteed), mostly 100% at least and some up to about 300% was fine - but, then - it found the flawless one - the one that just went green across the board - and, that one was AJX - and still shows green across the board. And, - hardly any bugger knew - a few were sold - that is sure - but, most indeed, had not ever heard of it.
My very first post on AJX said it all -- this looks good short, medium and long term.
IMO - this is like being in one of the great stories - like being in a movie - or owning a once in a century champion race horse and having the privilege of being around it any time you want.
The story has all the things that one could ever expect from a great story - small beginnings, great hero, wonderful army, phenomenal results in training, courage, villains, intrigue, unfortunately tragedy, planning, stories within stories, characters to die for - people like people who you met as a young kid and always wondered about, hope, disappointment along the way, celebration - the list is pretty well endless.
And, to be part of this - assuming I have picked it right - is just like a dream. To watch the players move all the time is just amazing. To see people get bored and jump off or people trying to get on with big positions and can't work out how to do it - to notice things that are written, that no one else mentions - and, you just get to sit back and think ------- why has no one said anything about that - it's like an elephant walked into the room and noone even looked up -------- pure Monty Python.
To feel the buildup in this business - which has not missed - one single beat since Nick came on board and finally you could see changes after his entry - which was about a year after - any who want to read about that - IMO Parsifal wrote a great bit about the history of AJX.
To feel the build up - but, to see the SP sit squarely where it is - is like being in the dam when it is full and you know there is a flood coming down the river - and you can hear the dam creaking and groaning --------- knowing that it is only a matter of time. You know what is going to happen - but, you don't know when - you don't know if it will happen on a day that appears as a normal day with the sun shining and birds singing and then all of a sudden it will happen slowly - or will it just come with a bang. Or - will it come overnight - with some sudden catalyst - of which many are possible.
All the while you know it is being watched by characters who have wealth and power - and, one can only guess at their not only level of interest but, their reason of interest.
For me - whilst I wait for our personal lives to pan out - building a long project to go and pillage America (a hobby at present) and having the odd trip away (5 months last year) a few months the years before - and putting up with odd requests by Parsifal for yet more assistance in her massive garden - with planning and project management - well, AJX is a wonderful toy.
HC is the repository of notes by not only myself - but, others - which, I believe - one day, may turn into a written story in it's own right - a story of a company that went from a MC of very few millions - to a goliath - and, along the way - took a lot of people's lives in whole new directions.
Already AJX has changed lives - many on here probably don't realise the amount of stories out there - that people have written to me and written to Nick - that have been rescued from financial oblivion coming out of the early GFC and many also from personal tragedy. Of course there are many who have had their fingers burned as well - I don't get many of those stories because the vast bulk have tried to jump on the galloping horse and lost their footing and fallen - but, we know they are there.
So - does that give you an idea of my interest?
have a great day all ----------------
I predict that the SP will be rock solid today
- one of the very few days I just know my prediction will be accurate.
