Considering we have locked up 26% of Atlantic already, I am not surprised... it would be an expensive punt with high execution risk for Royal without the starting stake, and it would cost them a bomb to convince Atrum to drop the 26%. That being said, I bet Atlantic are disappointed that Royal didn't hold out until at least Atrum had made its move so that there was some air of competitive tension. Even with metcoal prices skyrocketing, Atlantic wont be able to monetise that without competitive tension, and without Royal there doesn't seem to be any leverage. Looks like we are positioned for all the upside on this acquisition and execution risk has just evaporated... THX ROYAL! These are sort of situations where GREAT deals can be done.
