The very reason i loaded up. sp's do not need to go up just before announcement however usually there is a good spike on volume under cover of TA a few weeks before especially as in knl's case where this agreement has been imminent for a few weeks. This pattern is even greater for illiquid stocks like knl wher getting even a 100k in stock volume is very difficulty withbforcing the sp to dramatically move. further following this rise on volume we saw a retracement on very low volume to 24 c levels. while the binding agreement might not havevbeen completed then the details would have been known and confidence in it would have been a given.
