Pooti, if you earn say $80,000 your tax rate is around 30% right? Then take that $1000.00 profit, halve it to get $500.00 profit, then apply your tax tax of 30% to the $500, your tax then on $1,000 is $150.00. Tax of $150 on $1,000 is not hard to take.
