If they knew the results of the study they would have announced both at the same time and went for significant cash.
Given the couple of million shares that have traded in the last couple of days someone knew something, perhaps bit did some selling of expectations, perhaps that was enough to create some interest.
One can speculate that the time it’s taking for results to come out means that they were in a dire cash position which pushed a small cash grab.
