3-6 months ago the rhetoric was every Aussie miner was soon to be toast, that the Phillipines was closed for business etc
Since then, all Aussie miners have passed their audits, all are still operating and Lopez looks to be on the back foot more and more
The focus has always been illegal and destructive miners, but Lopez had to make headlines by being tough on the big boys, likely to appease various parties
The media beat up blew things way out of proportion
