with the SPP your hands are usually tied for two weeks before you're allotted the shares. if it starts plummeting, you're in trouble. if you buy on market you can get out at any time.
i'm sure nobody is going to lose any sleep having to pay an extra $15 brokerage buying on market.
MCC only offering a 2.5% discount to loyal shareholders is a bit rude if you ask me.
