Are you serious?? There is no way Blackstone would offer shareholders $1.30 as the proposal would be rejected out of hand - especially by Orbis.
Their offer will more than likely include some level of takeover premium and given the current share price is so far under the group's NAV backing, Blackstone could offer upwards of $1.70 (standard 40% premium above the weighted average value of VPG's share price over the past month) and still sell off all the groups assets at a very tidy profit.
Then of course there is the strong chance there will be a counter offer from other buyers (including offshore Private Equity groups) who have been casting their eyes over Valad during the past 12 months ...
