It could be related to the 2 new prospects. They may have felt obliged to call for a Trading Halt to comply with continous disclosure requirements. e.g. if they felt some market sensitive info might become available prior to them being in a position to fully inform the market. The more exciting the news....
If this is the case and the resource is highly significant this stock could fly even with the current market conditions IMHO. Market cap is currently less than $17m.
