A transaction relating to 'control' of the company, i.e. over 50%, says takeover. It's been ticking away as the last listed sugar miller and it just depends who wants it. Mitr Phol never declared if their investment was aiming for control or as a strategic investment. Otherwise its Cofco or one of the other big boys (Mackay, Wilmar, Glencore, etc).
Would be a shame to see another Aussie company go.
