I think you might be right 0scar. My own current financial position precludes the possibility of my taking up the offer, but as a renounceable rights issue it will be (it says) saleable on the ASX. However since 2.8 looks like where it is headed (or worse!), the rights will be worthless.
Full marks to management for trying, but this was always going to be the long haul.
