From the long term perspective agree that downside from the announcement is unlikely.

However considering that it is the optimistis who will currently be holding, there is plenty of opportunity for expectations to be disappointed and thence selling pressure - hard to know what the buying selling balance would be even if one knew the announcement imho. Markets also seem to quickly move onto the next hurdle, which imho is likely to be funding anxiety.

In short I don't expect any dramatic change in the sp in the near term. Happy to be pleasantly corrected by the market though.
