Acetelyne and Methane burn cleaner than the gas I remember deriving from coal that was heated to the point where the gas was then held in gasometers for distribution. Coal seam gas if it burns clean or with less than the conventional I think it was carbon monoxide, then whilst not entirely clean burning is a lot better than the old method.
Technology has reduced petroleum's exhaust emissions into being less toxic.
Just thinking about gas and that is my local garbage tip that has a gas valve, how much of what gas I don't know but it's piped to a storage tank somewhere. If anyone here has the same at their local tip I'd like to know so that he/she can enlighten me as to what happens from there.
