I'd go out on a limb here and suggest that it was an inability to reach agreement on what constituted "fair market value" for that 51%. The higher grade parts of Little Eva contain the only copper worth trucking to EHM -the native copper ore is worse than worthless in the EHM plant, and the primary ore under the NCu at Blackard et al is a very different beast to EHM ore, largely bornite with zero gold credits. It would be hard work getting that to pay at the EHM plant.
