    Maxtor - announcing the new CEO again was not necessary under asx guidelines but instead was used to send a pretty clear message to mog. that is, meo's board re-announcing the CEO pretty much straight after the mog announcement IMPLIES what the meo board think of mog's pathetic offer - zero support.

    Happy to be incorrect, but significant announcement in CEO asx release is a rebuttal by meo board of mog offer and reiteration of full support for neon merger. though the chairman is just back from Italy so you never know.
