A CR a week before NEGI? I don't think so. Any rational player would do a raise after the post-NEGI SP lift. And if NEGI doesn't happen, a CR wont be needed.
A Trading Halt is to prevent trading in an uninformed market, pending a significant or material announcement. This suggests negotiations over Mereenie, a placement or JV, though again, the last two a week out from NEGI don't make sense.
We now have a whole weekend to speculate. I can't fault RC's sense of the dramatic.
