I think they just wanted him out the door so they agreed to the current disgraceful terms given the state of the company to try and reduce the fallout. Wouldn't be surprised to see them try to exercise some of these get out clauses down the track if they find enough evidence which I am sure is there. That said dirt bag lawyers always find ways to complicate simple reality.

IMHO if he was such a good guy as purported by the lovers here and not a control freak ego maniac a deal in the better interest of shareholders would have been negotiated with a quite relatively seemless handover.
