Why do people always hope its tesla that the offtake would be with? Seriously its a very hyped company but its surviving on the back of government incentives and cap raisings from the market. Its made some very cool looking EXPENSIVE cars. It has some battery storage packs and is on its way to building a gigafactory thats yet to be built?
I would much prefer a large offtake with a proven company with a positive balance sheet for the last 10 years as opposed to a new startup? LG, panasonic etc. You can even buy right now powerwall type batteries for your house from current Aussie suppliers, while you wait 6m for your tesla one??
I do find it bizarre were in a TH for this type of announcement. Lets see what wednesday brings eh?
