One of MPJ's problems IMO has been the lack of a Plan B, or C. De-risking options in case Plan A doesn't produce. I'm wondering if this news of a lithium acquisition is an attempt to rectify that.
If so, does it hold that the team's specialisation in locating Kambalda type nickel deposits necessarily extends to principles of lithium exploration? Also the logistics of exploring in Europe would be a complete change in strategy and focus. Curious as to how this would play out, re current focus.
Or if they are picking up an adjoining tenement at Talc Lake, say east of holes 26 & 27, it would take the exploration emphasis in new direction, away from the northerly bearing of the 40 km strike. Unless it conforms to an oversized cabbage patch extending way beyond to what Neil Hutchision claims is their modelled centre of the lava flow.
Whatever, it's all speculation and potentially very exciting.
In the meantime NH has form when it comes to containing his excitement. POS resident evangelist, TomBoy reports on NH's said excitement prior to recently pulling a rabbit out of the hat:
And look at what Legend NH just said publicly:...“I have not seen nickel sulphide intersections of this quality, grade and thickness since my time at Cosmos drilling the Alec Mairs, Propsero & Tapinos Deposits. This is an impressive intersection and is the culmination of considerable high quality scientific work between our Geology team and Newexco. It opens up many opportunities around the historical Emily Ann Mine and will hopefully lead to the discovery of an economic deposit"... NH and RD are NI legends for good reason and they love POS. They have been spot on as to LJ & EA, NH was jumping out of his skin at the 2014 AGM over LJ,
POS knew about the potential of EA upon acquisition from Norslik but kept it in their back pocket for a few years until needed.
Are MPJ embarking on a similar strategy? As Poet noted, timing may well be pivotal here. Exciting times, indeed.
