Pretty sure CommSec doesn't do ATR stops bud, but if you have the patience to work it out out at the end of each trading day you can apply the figure as a 'falling stop'.
Trailing stop losses can also be used but commsec limits you to a maximum 15% before it triggers. This works ok as long as the ATR value doesn't exceed 15%. If you have a volitile stock like NOR was a few months ago the ATR stop value might be higher than 15% and so you run the risk of getting stopped to early.
I've had a decent batch of NOR since October 15 and didn't do the golden knowledge rob007 passed on, but what I did do recently was go back through the numbers and try to work out which ATR would have worked best on NOR during the Nov / Dec 15 period and to use that in the future. I think it was 3 x ATR for the previous 14 days.
I'm no expert but it would've sold everything at about 10c.
