You might be referring to an oversubscribed placement. If this is the case, then surely this might help the SP in the short term. But if we get a positive announcements on how the funds are to be used, then the SP would creep higher IMO. Anyway, the sophisticated investors were happy to put the money in this case, so they are happy on where XPED is heading.
So if the placement is oversubscribed, the SPP might be tempting with a discount offered even if you only going to be allocated a small percentage of your holdings.
