I suspect it was because of the risk or news leakage, rather than because of the actual news that the halt was called.
I don't think we should read too much into it, and yes Vege CVN has indeed released disappointing news promptly many times. Only in your imagination does it wait for the QR.
Optimistically waiting, but it could be good or bad imho.
