That 92c price is very surprising, if true. 15 to 20% discount would be a very poor outcome.
My thoughts for the delay were along your thinking, stardestr0yer. I'm expecting funds to be coming from US in which case there are various time difference delays. It's hard enough to do in Oz in just 2 days.
There are also a lot of moving parts, with Trump reiterating in the last few days that he is going to belt US companies who manufacture offshore and then import into the US. I'm guessing investors may want some clarification on what impact that could have on AXP. Eg margins and whether they can shift some manufacturing to the US should it be required. I know I would be asking some of these questions if I was presented with the DCF valuation showing assumed gross margins.
On the positive side there could be a bidding war now that it has been derisked, as you say.
