My recollection from the last AGM was that ID commenting to the extent of $300-400mil to get the gas project fully implemented. (He did mentioned that no proper costing or cost benefit analysis had been undertaken at the time of AGM). Again this raising or full project dynamics was not going to happen until further drilling was completed towards the later part of this half. Perhaps there is some positive results from the latest drilling as well.
But something more sinister with this capital raising is the likely manipulation and control of share price at current levels which we all think is well below what it should be. Whilst the extra capital is good news this is only going to dilute the share capital in the short term. Hope the capital raising is priced at current level or above. IMHO I think a Chinese or Chinese backed partner is the likely investor/JV partner.
