Stockbroker Morgans has kicked off the first institutional placement for the new year.
Morgan is seeking to raise $55 million for Senex Energy at 31.5¢ a share.
The offer was priced at a 12.5 per cent premium to the last close and a 10.4 per cent premium to the five-day volume weighted average price, according to terms sent to potential investors.
Morgans was seeking bids by midday on Tuesday.
The offer was underwritten by EIG Global Energy Partners.
Senex shares went into a trading halt on Monday morning.
