Dear Kimberley Trading Halt Request In accordance with ASX Listing Rule 17.1, Sirtex Medical Limited (Company) requests a trading halt in the shares of the Company prior to the commencement of trading on 31st January 2017. The Company has received a letter from a law firm foreshadowing the commencement of a representative proceeding against the Company based on alleged breaches of its continuous disclosure obligations, and alleged misleading and deceptive conduct, arising out of a statement made by the Company on 24 August 2016 that the Company would achieve “double digit dose sales growth” in FY17. ‘The Board is considering the foreshadowed claim, and taking legal advice, but considers that the claim is material to the Company. A more detailed announcement will be made as soon as practicable. The Company is not aware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted, nor is it aware of any other information necessary to inform the market about the trading halt. The trading halt is requested to be effected immediately to ensure that the market trades only on a fully informed basis.
