Yes you are correct. However that said the replies to questions from the floor do in fact count for those that are present.
These guys are well practiced when addressing shareholders but they cannot hide certain things:-
body language
tone of voice when replying to hard questions and trying to keep it not market sensitive
where eyes look when replying
there are many other things for an astute shareholder who attends meetings to see when the BoD can be put on the spot.
Perhaps one or two of us who attend will provide their "biased" views on what transpires.
