I agree Monark. I definitely would like to see some more diversity too. Plenty of time to go for more CH if that's what their ultimate plan is. But, it's not really too surprising with what Towner has been suggesting for some time now. I just hope that the decision is a pleasant surprise.
TEG has now altered all of it's interests in Australia. So, firstly, the acquisition will be somewhere in Australia. Surely.
They already have 57% of CF, so, IMO, why get more when they have stated that "The Cliff Head oil field offers Triangle unique insight into regional trends and is analogous to Xanadu. We see synergies in exploring and commercialising near field resources."
In that context and the anticipated prospectivity of the Perth Basin, I'd like to see them increasing their exposure in that area.
EGO owns 46% of this huge property and have (too??) many prospective jobs on the go, (which they will have to commit large sums to fully explore and develop) but, have said, "Empire’s vision is to sustainably grow the business into a mid-tier exploration and production company. Empire’s strategy is to be a Perth Basin operator of choice, safely supplying WA domestic gas by growing the Red Gully production hub, delivering reserves and production growth by drilling material quality exploration prospects in the high profit margin onshore Perth Basin and, enabling Empire to attract quality farm-in partners to assist in accelerating growth plans.
They have several other prospects within the Perth Basin which have had extensive surveys completed and are effectively ripe for next stage work, but require funding. Refer to their Dec QR.
TEG with their very reliable income flow from CH, would surely now be able to attract finance, other than a diluting CR, and would be attractive to a company like EGO to buy out some of their interests and provide them with more funding to enable them to "accelerate THEIR growth plans".
Could be a win/win.
But, this is just surmising and shareholders can only hope that what they do IS another step forward.
Very much looking forward to that ann!!!!
