I agree with other posters about the naivete and inexperience of GW, executives, and the SRX board in biomedicine.

If SRX were a major pharma funding important new studies, it wouldn't leave them to independent 3rd parties. Not at this stage of development. It wouldn't find out the results the same time as the rest of the world. It would control and manage all the stages. And decide when and if to expand or even stop some studies. Conduct smaller studies which clarify and define the best approach before these large scale studies that have to be analysed backwards rather than forwards. And they should only ever do large studies when they are very confident of the outcome, usually by having previously defined the target population very narrowly.

Yes, that's why pharmas have a bad wrap. But they can't afford to have their shares trashed at periodic intervals either. Especially if their shareholders are paying for the privilege.
