The government just finished funding television restack so it could on sell the freed up spectrum to the telcos for more digital services. Talk of going mpeg4 which will cost. Program material is getting crappier by the day due to budgets. More people using the internet for their entertainment and so on. So cost cuttings will begin with cutting staff to a minimum, slashing dollars here there and everywhere, well except for the execs on their multi million dollar pay packets. It the beginning of the end for television as it gets replaced by the internet.
