The purpose of a trading halt is so the results aren't leaked to selected people whether the results are good or bad. For example so whoever is collecting/collating the final data from the trial doesn't tell all their mates to buy in to GPP as results released in a day or so will be good or if that person was already a GPP holder they don't go and dump their 20 million shares if the results are shithouse. So results could be good or bad.
