I'm trying to search for that article that's from Syndey morning herald. Unfortunately I can't find it so can't back myself up. But I remember US is still the biggest owner of Australian assets by far. The article did not mention private or government but when I suppose it's hard to distinguish between private or government linked entities when it comes to China. Whatever the case its a race between Australian exports vs those from dairy exporting countries like Holland and New Zealand which we are directly competing with. And those countries's governments do actively try and support their exporting companies to enter the China market.
