I read an article recently saying DRC being the Saudi Arabia of lithium.
Because of the geopolitical risk involved in operating in DRC there are few that are hesitant to operate to explore and develop mines.
But as the world gets more and more desperate for lithium - namely China, those that are capable of operating...will operate in DRC, if you can manage the risk it is far cheaper to operate than other hotspots. BMI has released new data showing contracts for lithium are up once again this month.
PLS also struck a deal with China Great Wall Motors. Big companies are trying to secure whatever lithium they can.
The majors have already set their feet in there:


I think AVZ will also land a deal or T/O, its very hard to ignore what looks like the biggest lithium deposit in the world, also shallow. They have the size and grade so unless the ore is very complex with alot of contaminants they should get a deal in the future.

As for DRC it remains untested for lithium all over the place, have a look at the Tin/tantalum mines scattered across our region:
9 Sites across lower katanga all which seem to follow a relative SW pattern.
