all gas stocks having a good day today on the back of Origin sale to Beach.
This sale has certainly livened up the gas market and has given a 'Floor' to analyst's
forecasts. Where it was $3 its now $8 a PJ local consumption. Being a holder of BPT
I hope their is a reasonable profit in the supply contracts Beach to Origin that were
negotiated before sell out.
In our case RLE we can only hope our GSA's are at the upper end
of the scale when negotiated. Cost per PJ gas could be around $6 for
RLE so todays gas prices are realistic.
I suspect the news we await is for funding a capital purchase so the effect it
has on the SP may not be as noticeable as some would like but as media picks up on
it we should have a good week for the IMO
