We will certainly hear something by Wednesday, and potentially even today or tomorrow. Confirmed.
"Update" simply means telling us the "current state" of the QQ deal. Nothing more, nothing less.
It could be done, it could be different, it could be extended, but jeepers people are reading the tea leaves if they think they can read that as a negative!!
Saying much else or saying that differently would give away what the "update" is and spoil the actual announcement!
These guys haven't surprised to the downside yet, and I don't expect anything of the sort this time. Imo, worst case is they are still working on a monster deal that needs more time to work through. So what?! I can wait more days/weeks for that. Big deal.
What happened to the buying in the previous extension period (last week)?! Heck, perhaps we all should hope for another extension!
Imo, it won't be, it'll be solid progress and extra plans as per normal for this company.
Pumped? Hype? Good luck with that.
Can't wait for the announcement and for trading to commence!
