It’s likely the anomaly was discovered at 7:27 am today but when the crew on site passed out from disbelief it would have taken many hours to awaken. The only way to awaken from such a deep feint would be water on the face, but, given this is in a drought area it’s likely a local dingo or koala just happened to piddle on one of the crew members faces and he in turn woke the others before informing the ASX..
Hopefully not with piddle.
