Good to see the market steadily climb over the day. The banks did not recovr a lot of their lost ground for nothing . NAB was level for the day, Westpac and CBA down 6 cents and 20 cents respectivley with ANZ up an amazing 30 cents. This was no aberration folks I can assure you.
The banks put in a magnificent effort considering their considerable gains to date compared to any other sector!
They represent sheer value with yields fast approaching 6%. Give me a 10% yield anyday, which some posters are proposing, and I'll single handedly take over the banks.
The banks have not had their day.
