I would have thought if the DoD were seriously vetting potential contractors for a new FR uniform, then AJX contribution to the uniform is more critical than would be expected of a normal sub contractor who does just unskilled work. There would surely be a chain of review, a bit like in the UK all Rolls Royce aircraft engines are tagged down to the smallest components of all suppliers to RR so authorities/inspectors can determine responsibility for any fault and go back to source. I saw a snippet somewhere recently that hinted all those pyrotechnic tests of a couple of years ago were just between the contractor and AJX because the DofD tests are yet to be done. Is that correct?
