well, IF (big if) the "Update to revenue guidance" is in relation to an Upgrade - then it must be material.
IF it is material, then Yow is obliged to inform the mkt under their Continuous Disclosure obligations.

so last Qtr sales were US$4.6m, and we need average of US$8.4m p/qtr to achieve guidance - then IF sales are materially higher for Dec Qtr, then YOW would need to inform mkt.
They will know just how the Dec Qtr sales went. So they will know exactly what the Dec Qtr sales will be.
So they will have a much better idea as to how the full year results will look like.
So if they appear that they will certainly get to US$30m sales needed - or that they will exceed it, then that would be "material" info they would need to disclose.

and the fact that good news would be a plus for incumbent board - all the better!?

IF by chance some persons were aware of the material improvement in sales, then Yowie would be beholden to make sure that the info did not provide an ill-informed mkt.

we are all aware that crappy news usually follows these sorts of upgrades!
