How exciting, a trading halt to raise funds and make an acquisition. It depends what they are buying and where it is. If it's something cash generative, or operational and not far from being cash generative then the market might like it.
Maybe a German Bakery chain?
But when non cash generative spec companies dilute themselves to buy non cash generative assets history tells us it may be a double whammy if the market doesn't like it. If the price drops after this announcement it will be time for new management IMO.
