ASX would have issued them a speeding ticket - ( unusual price or volume or both ) what you dont know is if its a query as to why it fell down to 23c or why it bounced up 9% this morning - I would at a guess say its the latter.

Normally they just answer the questions and it goes into to pre open and starts trading again - The fact they are taking the time to draft a reply opens up all sorts of possible conjecture theories- I will avoid trying to add anything to that discussion.
