@Chrimata - that is usually not the case "Raises help with liquidity in the market and also help with exposure." Most cap. raisings serve a two fold purpose, they raise money (obviously) and usually if a share issue is involved that decreases liquidity by making available a huge no. of shares available to the market which leads to a decrease in trading spread.

Nobody goes near them but the Co. usually sprouts this as a "stable share price" to the market. In other words they are practically untradeable. Two recent examples of this are NWE and HDY.
